TruCon Construction was created by Murfreesboro native, Charles Owens, in 2015. However, that’s not when his love of construction and remodeling began.

I started construction when I was 15 helping my dad sometimes on projects he was doing. I went into excavation/land development for about a year, then began working for a glass company. From there, I worked my way up from delivery driver to someone they depended upon to fabricate, deliver and install from technical problems their foreman couldn’t figure out on job sites. I then went into law enforcement, although I did continue to do construction and remodeling on the side. After about six years on the force, I tried to go into construction full time. The business failed because I started this dream in ‘09 — just before a recession and housing market collapse.

So, I went back to work in law enforcement for a little over three years. Then, in 2015, when the market was doing great, I left law enforcement for the last time to start TruCon Construction. We have been going strong and continuously growing ever since.
